Our client purchased their home in the Canterbury Woods Neighborhood in Annandale, Virginia, in 1971. After raising a family and living with the original kitchen for more than 45 years, it was time for a complete renovation. We completely gutted the kitchen as well as removed a framed pantry and all bulkheads. Our client opted for a large island, which accommodates up to 5 seats, over the traditional eat-in kitchen table. The new layout provides openness, optimal storage, and a beautiful transitional design. The design incorporates a mix of stained and painted cabinetry, Armstrong Alterna floor, quartz countertops, a gray glass tile backsplash, and oil rubbed bronze hardware.
