Mylene Thomas serves as Vice President overseeing business development and marketing for both Flooring America and FA Design Build. Her expertise is in business start-ups and transformations with a proven 9 years track record for lead volume and sales increases in the food, hospitality and retail industries.

Mylene is a former business owner nationally recognized and awarded for franchise/franchisee development with Tropical Smoothie Café. Within her first year as an independent owner she ranked #1 in the Northeastern region for operations for maintaining operating costs 7% below industry averages. Mylene has been nationally recognized and awarded for being “Best in Building the Brand” by Franchise 500’s Tropical Smoothie Café (Ranked #127), and awarded “Best Overall” and “Best in Sales” for funds raised to benefit Camp Sunshine, a camp designated for families with critically ill children in Lake Sebago, Maine. Mylene also served as President of the Northern Virginia Advertising and Marketing Co-Op, and has spoken on numerous educational panels addressing topics such as franchise and business development for women. Mylene has also been called upon by both private and corporate businesses to represent their respective markets in various media outlets, such as local TV appearances and press conferences, to announce the launch of new industry products and services.

Originally from Jacksonville, FL Mylene Thomas enjoyed a brief but wildly fun education in the fine arts attending Douglas Anderson School of the Arts as a Dance Major during High School, and she attended Florida International University in Miami, FL for a degree in International Relations. Although she never planned on staying in Ashburn, VA she very happily resides there with her husband Chris, step-daughter Alicia, daughter Chloe and soon to be welcomed son Logan. Mylene enjoys spending her weekends with her family and neighbors outside in the yard with their mutual collections of dirt bikes, baby toys and puppy dogs.
